Create your own occupation which provides either a background or proficiency feat or an ability comparable to one of the more powerful Pathfinder traits. In addition, choose two skills. They become class skills. If they are already or ever become class skills, instead gain a +1 bonus to them. 

Example:
Law enforcement 

Personal firearm proficiency or Light or Medium armor proficiency

Class Skills: Sense motive, Perception

Class skills: Sleight of Hand, Bluff

Example:
Favored of the Gods

Whenever you receive a luck bonus, increase it by 1

Class skills: Religion and Diplomacy 

Thug:
Use Strength instead of Charisma for Intimidate

Class skills: Intimidate, Knowledge Local 

Magical Scholar:

Use Intelligence for Use Magic Device

Class Skills: Use Magic Device, Arcana 

Astronaut:

Zero-g Training 

Class Skills: Navigate, Pilot
